Hindi word writer

Writing in our language is not simple like Latin/English script. That is why it is called complex script. It may not be easy with Typewriter but for a computer it is not a problem. Let us see how.

Suppose you want to write the word CHANDAN, (Sandalwood) . The word is formed with basic characters such as the consonant CHA, followed by the consonant NA. The consonant NA has to connected with another consonant DA in such a way that its inherent vowel sound is stripped. We do that by adding Halant after the consonant NA. Finally added with the consonant NA.

So to make conjuncts or Juctakhor you click in this sequence.

Click CHA ... CHA appears in the composition box []

Click NYA  ... CHA followed by NA appears in the composition box [ चन ]

Click Hasanta  ....CHA followed by NA followed by (or connected to NA) Halant appears [चन् ]

Click DA ....you will find NA is connected with DA to make a juctakhor. Appears [ चन्द ]

Click NA .... the word CHANDAN is formed in the composition box. [चन्दन ]

If the Hindi letters appear but not connected as supposed to be for conjunct formations, means your system supports Unicode but Hindi Unicode font (Mangal) is not selected or initialised for the affected text.
