| What happens if the particular word you want is not in its dictionary? How do you compose a new word ? It is easy once you get familiar with word writer (see parts of word writer). There is nothing the word writer cannot write. If you find one, please let us know. As you click (that is press down left button, do not release) consonants (say 1st Consonant 'KA' [क ]) > a drop down with common vowel modifiers appears on right. While keeping it pressed, slide the mouse pointer to the vowel modifier (say AA [া ] on top of drop down menu). The AA area is highlighted. Now you release the left button. You should see the combination of KA + AA (KAA) [का ] in the composition box*. Now your mouse is free to move around. Choose any second letter you want. Sometimes you might miss the drop down AA matra. In that case only KA appears in the composition box. Choose the AA matra from top row and left click. The AA matra is added to KA making it KAA. Simple ! Keep doing it till the new desired word is formed. For example you want the word KAAM [काम ]. Now click consonant MA [म ]. This context means, a) locating the mouse pointer in the consonant glyph of MA, b) while in this area with left mouse button click (press & release). MA should be added to composition box making it KAAM [ काम]. Suppose this is the word you want, right click (use right button instead of left) in any empty space such as between Dictionary box and consonants. If the word was not in dictionary, a prompt box should appear. If it was in the dictionary, it will be sent to the application without the prompt. Click 'Yes' to the prompt, if the spelling of the word is correct and you want to use it again. Clicking 'No' will send the word to application without storing it in Dictionary. * If you do not like drop-down, forget it. Release of the mouse pointer will give you KA. Then click AA from the top row of buttons. Effect is same. |
