| Installing Fonts: In order the computer displays the Hindi characters including conjunct formations etc., you will need a font file that is compatible with Unicode standard and has ability to form conjunct formations. as per various practice. Old Hindi font files may not work as their coding may not be Unicode compliant. Microsoft has developed a font file 'Mangal.ttf' (font name 'Mangal') for this purpose. It is supplied as part of Windows XP. If in Hindischool home page you see Hindi characters but not conjunct formations it means the Mangal font does not exist in the Windows/fonts directory, or that it is not initialised or chosen for the displayed text. If you do not have it please download it from Microsoft. After you Install the font please test for proper visibility of Hindi script in the home page.
